Video Games are not just a stupid and benign thing. They are fountains of inspiration for the Youth, they are the mediums by which the Youth becomes aware of the world, of what they like, of what they dislike. They are meant by which the Youth form their opinions and create their moral compass.
And the Regime knows this. They weasel their propaganda and misinformation, their lies, into games because they know the Youth is playing them.
In this series I will draw attention to two of the most well made, beloved and impressive Video Games ever produced. Two games that have practically universal acclaim, some even hailed as a sea of developer and screenwriter’s competence in the midst of a sea of ever more stupid and dumbed down video games. These two games are hailed as completely anti-woke, and indeed if you search for people talking about its woke elements you will only find people without support on fringe forums across the internet. These posts go like this. The poster notices a pattern of wokeness in the game, and EVERY SINGLE COMMENT ranges from “you’re paranoid” to “you're an idiot”. Some comments are more CIA-like, and go at lengths to explain why the game is not woke and give a complete argument as to why. This discourages anyone online to criticize these products, and I wouldn't be surprised if Google or even Intelligence Agencies were at work removing thousands and thousands of posts about woke shit in video games. You may think I'm jesting, but GTA V completely changed the game by becoming the highest grossing entertainment product in the history of mankind. Do you really think the Government and the Intelligence Agencies would leave these products without any oversight? that is beyond naive. So without further ado, let us begin.
Part I - Red Dead Redemption II
Hailed by some as the greatest game of all time and practically immune to criticism on the internet, Red Dead II nonetheless is perhaps the most pernicious piece of political propaganda ever created, because it’s so fun and beautiful that it can afford to insulate itself from any criticism. I have myself played over 500 hours of this game, 3 times from start to finish and I do love the gameplay aspects. What I don't love about this product is how “woke” it is.
The first theme we encounter and cannot gloss over is the complete absurdity of the Van Der Linde gang’s racial makeover. You have a Native American, A Mexican, A Femminist, A Negro, A Cuckhold (John, who married the group’s former prostitute). To untrained and lobotomized eyes this would be just fine, except it isn’t, because the game is set in 1899, and the developers went into extreme minute detail to represent everything as it was, from the Buildings to the Advertisement, to the Guns, Everything in the entire game was thoroughly researched and given incredible detail to make it appear as tho the story is set in 1899. However this story is very much modern, and it’s a no brainer that a gang of outlaws would not have a mexican, a negro, a native american and a feminist living in complete equality. This gang you're forced to run with is a complete historical aberration. Attitudes towards race and gender in the actual 1890’s would give modern audiences trigger for hour long panic attacks. Those actual frontiersmen, and the ones who engaged in outlawness, were rough, and in deliberately presenting them as a melting pot of tolerance the immersion of the game becomes, to anyone who hasn’t been lobotomized by the system, a complete joke. It’s not just immersion-breaking, it’s extremely in-your-face woke and annoying.
The story of the game flirts with one simple fact: That society fucking sucks and that the melting pot gang is a victim of said society.
This comes straight from a Shitlib playbook.
I could go on and on about this game, but what strikes me as most devious is the attempt to portray the South of the United States as a backwater of stupidity and regression.
General Quincy Harris, the game’s version of Robert E. Lee, has a statue on the plaza in Saint Denis, and on the ass of the horse it is written “Coward”. Many references in the game’s newspapers also mock this figure. There is a gang called the “Lemoyne Raiders” who is composed of former Confederate Veterans and they lose a gunfight to an empowered woman, at odds absurdly as 100 to 1.
The game spends a shitload of time in the Rural South, where you have option sidequests like ruining the life of a former slaver, and helping a Black Doctor get his medicine wagon back by murdering some 50 white people. What are the lives of 50 white “hillbillies” to save the profession of a colored man right?
Another mission (this one isn’t optional) is having to drive a cart full of feminists through the streets of the town of Rhodes, where they are met with cartoonish “hillbillies” shouting them down.
The game moves on to New Orleans (Saint Denis in game) where you’re expected to have a laugh at rich people and the corruption of the city itself and then you find yourself trapped in an Island called Guarma where slavery still exists. How? no fucking idea. It's 1899, and every single colony has abolished slavery. But it still exists to you the satisfaction of killing all the slavers when you make your escape from the Island by gunning everyone down. Did I mention you team up with a Haitian Black dude who is there out of no particular reason??
And then, inevitably, the game turns to the plight of the Native Americans. My god i’m getting bored just remembering all this shit.
In the final chapter you are basically fighting the US army, commanded, of course, by a huge bigot, who is probably a caricature of General Custer, so cartoonishly evil that it makes you roll your eyes, and then, after doing hundreds of crimes that would justify wiping these problematic natives from the face of the earth by any normal person, you get tuberculosis and dies in dramatic fashion.
But it doesn’t end there, oh no, they also had, to add insult to injury, to deconstruct the beloved protagonist of the first Red Dead Game, John Marston.
The ending 10 hours of the game are spent being helped by the Woman who took out 100 confederates veterans by her own, who is now an insufferably bossy bounty hunter who needs no man, and the Native American dude who the plot forces you to like (forgot to mention he goes on a killing spree after he sees some dead bisons back in the beginning).
So John Marston, the badass of the first game, only achieves his legendary status after being helped by a Native and a Woman.
Red Dead II is a fun shooter and horse-riding simulator. But it is equally a complete subversion of reality, using its beautiful graphics to numb you and distract you from the fact that you are committing unspeakable atrocities with your gang of muppets on behalf of some lunatic who hates society. The game mocks everything that America used to represent. It is a well done and glorified hit piece on traditional American Values. And no, it doesn’t get a pass from me.
Thank You for Reading.
